Motivation
As in all part of life, motivation is the engine that put the wheels in motion. Football is the main social event on Pemba, which is clearly shown in the amazing number of teams on the island.
Pemba Alive and The Manta Resort are the main sponsor of the football team The Small Manta. By our involvement the local villages get a natural contact to the resort and to the Pemba Alive program, and help us get even closer to the people and communities, and the players in the team and their families get motivation to study and explore knowledge that would normally be out of range.
Pemba Alive will promote and support local dances and bull fighting.
