Community Support
The Pemba Alive program encourage an increase in the sourcing of locally produced supplies, such as vegetables, fruits, fish and handcrafts.
The program also encourage that as much as possible can be supplied from the local market. The project also helps the locals to set up their own small businesses to be able to sell quality spices, handmade shampoo and lotions, honey, etc.
The commercial relationship between the tourist sector and the local community is well supported by Pemba Alive.
